Education Quality Assurance Center (EQAC) is a structural unit of the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus that ensures the efficiency of the quality system of educational activities and higher education at the University. The Education Quality Assurance Center (EQAC) at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus is the department that aims to ensure the quality of education provided by institutions. EQAC Aims

  • Ensuring the functionality of components of the system for internal assurance of higher education quality at the University and their monitoring;
  • Exploring the best international, local, and institutional practices of monitoring research on education quality and its analysis;
  • Coordinating the development, implementation, and proper functioning of the Quality Management System at the University;
  • Controlling the quality of training by organizing and holding polls (surveys) for students of all higher education levels, academic (teaching) staff; analysis of the results;
  • Ensuring the International European University’s, Malta prompt adoption of correcting and preventive measures required to prevent non-compliance in the organization of University processes affecting the education services quality;
  • Providing electronic access to Quality Management System documents published on the official website of the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • Monitoring the process of advanced vocational training for University personnel, providing well-timed advanced vocational training for teaching and academic staff;
  • Systematic selective monitoring of department activities regarding compliance with the core requirements of Provisions for educational process organization at IEU;
  • Providing informational and consulting services in the education quality management sector;
  • Organizing internal and external audits of the Quality management system.

Principles of EQAC Activity

The Education Quality Assurance Center of the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus is developed according to the principles:

  • compliance with European and national quality standards in higher education;
  • providing the autonomy of the IEU, Ukraine – Malta Campus, which is responsible for ensuring the quality of educational activities;
  • quality monitoring;
  • systems approach involving quality management for all stages of the educational process;
  • continuous improvement of the quality of scientific and pedagogical potential and quality of education;
  • involvement of higher education seekers, employers, and other stakeholders in the quality assurance process;
  • openness of information at all stages of quality assurance.

The system provides for the implementation of the following procedures and measures:

  • improving the planning of educational activities at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • improving the quality of the contingent of applicants for higher education at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • strengthening the human resources potential of the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • improvement of material and technical support of the educational process at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • use of Information Systems to increase efficiency management of educational activities at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • ensuring publicity of information about the activities of the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • the creation of an effective system of prevention and detection of academic plagiarism in the scientific works of pedagogical workers and graduates;
  • participation of the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus in national and international rankings research of higher education institutions.

The educational programs at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus are approved by the decision of the Academic Council of the University and are introduced in effect by order of the rector. Review of educational programs and curricula takes place as the result of their monitoring, taking into account the development of the industry and the needs of society, as well as the results of feedback from scientific and pedagogical employees, graduates, graduates, and employers.

Missions of EQAC

The mission of the Education Quality Assurance Center at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus:

  • Developing a quality culture and applying quality assurance models to the University’s practice;
  • Building an internal quality assurance system;
  • Guiding and inspecting the implementation of education quality assurance conditions in the units;
  • Organizing the implementation of survey and evaluation activities;
  • Processing and analyzing data for the purpose of ensuring the educational quality of the University;
  • Evaluating units according to research university standards, stratification, and ranking of higher education institutions;
  • Organizing self-assessment of training units/training programs;
  • Proposing a plan to improve and improve the quality of training after self-assessment-accreditation of education quality;
  • Building a database system on quality assurance, quality inspection, and updating proofs according to quality inspection standards;
  • Developing and maintaining quality assurance frameworks and guidelines;
  • Conducting evaluations and reviews of educational institutions, programs, and services;
  • Accrediting and certifying institutions or programs that meet certain quality standards;
  • Providing training and professional development for educators and administrators;
  • Promoting best practices in education and disseminating information about quality assurance in education.

The quality of educational work at the International European University, Ukraine – Malta Campus is assessed with regard to the:

  • knowledge and skills achievement of IEU, Ukraine – Malta Campus students according to educational knowledge standards;
  • quality of teaching and learning at IEU, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • the ethos of the institution (spirit of the community and atmosphere at the institution, preserving and promoting human rights, natural and social environment, multi-ethnicity, and diversity);
  • governance and management of the institution, organization, and performance of educational work at IEU, Ukraine – Malta Campus;
  • support that the institution provides to IEU, Ukraine – Malta Campus students (supplementary, additional classes, additional assistance to students with special educational needs, competitions, etc.);
  • staff, material, and technical, as well as safety conditions of the institution’s work;
